On 12th April, 200 invited members of the rail industry, startup community, press and technology worlds collided for the Labs by London Midland launch event.
The event was an introduction to the 10 startups who are part of our accelerator programme (a first for Rail – remind yourself who they are here), as well as an opportunity to hear from Patrick Verwer (MD at London Midland) on the importance of this initiative to both London Midland and the future of the industry as a whole.
We were also blown away by a talk from advertising pioneer Rory Sutherland, Creative Director at Ogilvy, on the evolution of marketing – we’ll publish the talk in full shortly so you can enjoy it as much as we did.
We were extremely well fed by selected vendors from the award-winning outdoor street food market, Digbeth Dining Club.
But that was just the warm up; we’re now gearing up for our Demo Day – the culmination of 12 weeks of hard work from our startups, where they’ll present their progress and unveil their future plans. Sign up to attend here.
